Question...
This question was brought to my attention yesterday...what do you do when you don't personally agree with the lifestyle of the person speaking (preaching, teaching)? What do you guys think?
I think that, me myself, i have to jsut think of it as, God is speaking through them. I have had the same problem, and its funny cause yesterday God really put it on my heart to look past those who are speaking/singing and see that they are doing God's work. So thats how i deal with it. :) love you.
Well...lol...I think that we should just listen to what they say with an open heart. They are, like Jena said, trying to speak God's word. I also think that if they are biblically incorrect and it is harming the body, then something needs to be said, but if it's just something little that you personally don't agree with, we should just take a deep breath and live with it because there is nothing that we can do about it unless you want to confront them (not fun)....which is another story.
Oh I didn't really answer the question...sorry. We should try to find something good that they are doing and be positive (which is really hard to do). OH OH OH!!! And accountability for helping you not want to hit them is super important. From experience, I know that it really helps especially when you have a great accountability partner like Jena! I think we should also try to encourage them even when we want to punch them in the face for be hypocritical.
